HOW IT HAPPENED

But Tommie goalkeeper Sarah Pasternak made the title-clinching save on the sixth Augsburg shot attempt.

QUOTE FROM AUGSBURG COACH MIKE NAVARRE
• "It was a great championship game. Unfortunately, it came down to penalties, which is a tough way to end a match. Overall, we've had a great regular season and feel we are deserving of an at-large bid for the national tournament. We certainly demonstrated that we can play with the top teams in the country. Special congratulations to Ashley St Aubin for breaking the MIAC's all-time goal-scoring record. Seventy goals in a career is hard to fathom, what a tremendous accomplishment."
