HOW IT HAPPENED

• Concordia built a 3-1 lead early in the second period, but Augsburg tied the game with a pair of goals in a 1:03 span midway through the frame, and after the Cobbers went ahead again early in the third period, the Auggies again tied the game, and Eric Brenk (SR, Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS) put home the game-winning goal 66 seconds into overtime, assisted by Austin Dollimer (FY, Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount HS) and Jason Krych (JR, Champlin, Minn./Totino-Grace HS).
• Gunnar Goodmanson (SO, Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo HS), who had missed nine games due to injury before returning to the lineup this weekend, scored his first goal of the season 3:03 into the second period, assisted by Matt Hines (FY, Minnetonka, Minn./Hopkins HS) and Nick Woodward (FY, Dubuque, Iowa/Dubuque HS). The assist was the first collegiate point for Woodward, who joined the Auggies at the semester break.
• On a power play from a five-minute major penalty, the Auggies cut the lead to 3-2 with a goal by Chandler Madry (SR, Bakersfield, Calif./Fairbanks (Alaska) BEST HS), his 10th of the season, assisted by Alex Rodriguez (SR, Miami, Fla./Shattuck-St. Mary's (Minn.) HS) and John O'Connor (JR, Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS). Sixty-three seconds later, Lukas Gillett (SR, Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount HS) tied the game at 3-3 with a goal from Luke Dietsch (SR, St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) and O'Connor.
• The Cobbers took a 4-3 lead with a power-play goal 44 seconds into the third period, but the Auggies tied the game again at the 7:22 mark, as Charlie Parker (SO, Verona, Wis./Verona HS) scored his fifth goal of the season, assisted by Paul Soubry (SR, Winnipeg, Manitoba/St. Paul's HS).
