MINNEAPOLIS --
Kaezha Wubben (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./Hopkins HS) posted season-highs in both points and steals, as the Augsburg University women's basketball team posted a 69-58 victory over St. Olaf College in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular-season finale for both teams on Saturday afternoon at Si Melby Hall. With the win, Augsburg closed the regular season winning nine of its last 10 games, securing the No. 2 seed in the MIAC postseason playoffs. The Auggies will host a semifinal game on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. at Si Melby Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After a close first quarter, Augsburg was able to outscore the Oles 46-22 over the second and third frames. The Auggies were able to extend their lead to as many as 26 before cruising on to the regular season-ending victory. The Augsburg pressure defense wore down the Oles, posting a 21-8 advantage in turnovers and a 27-11 advantage in points off-turnovers.
• Wubben shined for Augsburg, scoring a season-high 20 points, while picking up a career-best six steals. Wubben was 8-for-15 from the field and added five rebounds and four assists.
• Also finishing in double figures for Augsburg was
Tamira McLemore (JR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) and
Camryn Speese (JR, Bloomington, Minn./DeLaSalle HS). McLemore scored 13 points, while adding three rebounds and three steals. Speese was 5-for-10 from the floor, finished with 11 points and tied for a team-best six rebounds.

Jen Masello (FY, Darien, Ill./Downers Grove South HS) also pulled down six rebounds for Augsburg, while adding four points.
• Extending her program leading three-point record,
Aiza Wilson (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) added three additional threes on the afternoon, finishing with nine points. Wilson has hit at least one 3-pointer in 27 straight games, dating to last season.
• For the game, Augsburg shot 35.6 percent (26-of-73) from the field, while the Oles connected on 36.4 percent (20-of-55) of their shot attempts. The Oles posted a 46-38 advantage on the boards.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Augsburg has now qualified for the MIAC playoffs for the third time in program history and second under head coach
Ted Riverso. The Auggies set program records for overall wins (21), MIAC wins (15) and MIAC finish (second). Thursday will mark the Auggies' first-ever home MIAC playoff game at Si Melby Hall.
FOR THE FOES
• St. Olaf was led by 25-point, 17-rebound double-double from Makenna Ash.
• K'Lynn Lewis added 10 points and six rebounds for the Oles.
