Auggie women's golf opens season at Saint Benedict

RESULTS

SARTELL, Minn. -- Led by career-best performances from Emma Kraft (SO, Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson HS) and Nicole Zielsdorf (JR, Arden Hills, Minn./St. Anthony Village HS), the Augsburg University women's golf team opened its 2019-20 season at the College of Saint Benedict Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Kraft shot a career-best 163 (81-82), setting a single-round career best with her first-round 81, to tie for 11th place in the 71-player field. Her 163 is tied for the fourth-best 36-hole score in Augsburg women's golf history, with her first-round 81 tied for the 11th-best single-round score and her second-round 82 tied for the 25th-best single-round score in school history.
• Zielsdorf set career bests for both single-round (89) and 36-hole scores with a 182 (93-89) total, tying for 49th place overall.
• Three Auggie first-year golfers made their collegiate debuts. Olivia Boe (FY, Stewartville, Minn./Stewartville HS) opened her career with a 200 (96-104) score, while Livia Behnke (FY, Litchfield, Minn./Litchfield HS) shot 204 (105-99) and Lilia Lindgren (FY, Elko New Market, Minn./New Prague HS) shot 224 (114-110).
• As a team, Augsburg finished 11th in the 10-school, 11-team tournament with a two-day total of 749 (375-374).
