HOW IT HAPPENED
• Trailing 3-1, Augsburg tied the game with a pair of quick goals.

Nick Zuchowski (SO, Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine HS) at the 82:52 mark, then
Nick Vergara (JR, Aurora, Colo./Eaglecrest HS) tied the game with an unassisted goal at the 83:12 mark. But Saint Mary's sent the Auggies to their second straight overtime loss with a goal 2:26 into overtime.
• Collins notched his first collegiate goal in the 34th minute, giving the Auggies the early lead on assists by Zuchowski and

•
Zachary Berg (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Farmington HS) had two saves in goal for the Auggies.

QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH GREG HOLKER
• "When you get scored on as much as we have this year, it's hard to come away with points. We showed incredible spirit and resiliency to come back and tie it after being down 3-1, and I felt like we had the momentum and the game going our way. Then Szymanski hit another banger on us just like he did last year -- the difference was that this one won his team the game."
• "We had some young guys out there today step up and play pretty well.
Jorge Radilla did well filling in for
Peyton Boich and
Johnny Vu, and
Alex Ruiz made his debut and was very steady.
Drew Collins gave us the lead and then got us back in the game with two goals from dead balls, and
Helio De La Torre was a handful today as well."
• "Time for us to buckle up as our next game is against the No. 1 scoring team in the nation with three absolute beasts in attack. Gustavus has been pumping teams all year, so this will be a great chance for us to grow and improve in our defending."
• "As frustrating as these results have been, we are getting better. Each one of these games is teaching us something about ourselves and giving us a new platform to grow and learn from. Soon enough, it will come together in the form of a positive result."
