MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University's women's hockey team and the university's
Physician Assistant Studies program will join together for their third annual "Animals for Smiles" toy drive on Friday (1/17) at 7 p.m., during the Auggies' home game against Bethel at Ed Saugestad Rink.
Fans are encouraged to bring new stuffed animals to the game. During the first intermission, fans will toss the stuffed animals onto the ice, with the animals donated to pediatric patients atÂ
Children's Minnesota Hospital and Clinic in Minneapolis. Stuffed animals must be new and preferably wrapped or bagged, so they will stay clean when thrown onto the ice. Supplies will be available to wrap the toys before fans enter Ed Saugestad Rink.
