MONMOUTH, Ill. -- The Augsburg University women's lacrosse team evened its record in Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference play with a 13-12 victory at Monmouth College on Sunday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg built a 12-7 lead midway through the second half, but four straight goals by the Scots cut the advantage to 12-11 with 7:56 left.
Allie Tuccitto (JR, Rosemount, Minn./Eastview HS) scored her fifth goal of the game with 5:01 left, and the Auggies held on for their first MWLC win of the season.
• Tuccitto tied a career single-game best with five goals, part of a nine-goal weekend in MWLC play. Tuccitto now has 68 goals in her 36-game collegiate career.

Maddie Seykora (JR, Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna HS) had eight saves, adding six ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Mikayla Knudson (SR, Zimmerman, Minn./Elk River HS) scored two goals with two assists, adding four draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover

Annika Hegrenes (SR, Maplewood, Minn./Concordia Academy HS) scored two goals with an assist, adding six draw controls and a ground ball.

Tehya Reinbold (JR, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) and
Megan Furlong (JR, Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) scored two goals each, and
Tess Ryan (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn HS) had an assit with five draw controls and two ground balls.
• Augsburg outshot Monmouth by a 34-27 margin, including a 20-8 advantage in the first half. The Auggies had 16 draw controls to the Scots' 11, and had a 19-18 advantage in ground balls.Â
FOR THE FOES
• Kara-Jade Gordon scored five goals with an assist, five draw controls and two ground balls to lead Monmouth. Amanda Green scored four goals with an assist, and Aspen Chadderdon scored two goals with an assist, five draw controls and two ground balls.
• Olivia Matlock had 12 saves and two ground balls in goal for Monmouth.

• Augsburg returns to action during its Spring Break week with a pair of nonconference games in Colorado -- at Colorado College on Feb. 15 at 4 p.m., and at Johnson & Wales-Denver on March 19 at 2 p.m.
