Ana Ortiz (SR, Waterloo, Iowa/Columbus Catholic HS) delivered the eventual game-winning goal for Augsburg University in the 72nd minute, as the Auggie women's soccer team claimed an important 1-0 win over Saint Mary's University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game on Saturday afternoon at Edor Nelson Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Ortiz claimed her third career game-winning goal at the 71:34 mark, as she scored off of a corner kick by
Molly Conners (SR, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS). The goal was Ortiz's third of the season and the ninth of her Auggie career.
• Despite Augsburg outshooting Saint Mary's by a 22-13 margin, the game was a relatively close-to-the-vest affair for most of regulation time. Augsburg claimed a 55-to-45-percent advantage in possession time in the game.
• Ortiz had six shots for the Auggies, while Conners had four shots and
Sam Donahugh (JR, Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago HS) had three shots.

Iz Shuster (SO, Waconia, Minn./Waconia HS) earned her second shutout of the season with six saves in goal.
