ST. PETER, Minn. -- The Augsburg University women's soccer team's season came to an end on Monday afternoon, falling 1-0 to host Gustavus Adolphus College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoff quarterfinal matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• No. 4-seed Gustavus took the lead with a goal 6:17 into the game and held on for the shutout victory over the No. 5-seed Auggies. Augsburg outshot Gustavus by a 12-8 margin and held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks, but just three Auggie shots were on-target in the game, all saved by Gustavus goalie Abby Goodno.

Jennifer Bobaric (JR, Andover, Minn./Andover HS) had three shots in the game, while
Jaelyn Nedelcoff (FY, Oregon, Wis./Oregon HS) had two shots.

Iz Shuster (SO, Waconia, Minn./Waconia HS) had three saves in goal for the Auggies.
FOR THE FOES
• Rachel Rehnelt scored for the Gusties in the seventh minute, assisted by Page Cocchiarella.
• Rehnelt had four of Gustavus' eight shots in the game.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Augsburg was cometing in the MIAC playoffs for the 12th time under 23-year head coach
Mike Navarre, and the seventh season in a row (no MIAC playoffs were held in the 2020-21 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic).
• The loss marked the final collegiate soccer appearances for five Auggie seniors --

Molly Conners (SR, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS),
