Auggies spread the wealth in road victory

MENOMONIE, Wis. -- With seven different players figuring in the scoring, the No. 7-ranked Augsburg University men's hockey team remained unbeaten to start the season with a 3-0 nonconference win at the University of Wisconsin-Stout on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• For the second straight game, Augsburg struck quickly with a goal in the opening minute of play -- this time, a goal 30 seconds into play by Austin Koss (SR, Huntington Beach, Calif./Huntington Beach HS), assisted by Austin Dollimer (SR, Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount HS) and Keenen Lund (JR, Startell, Minn./Sartell HS).
• Augsburg added a pair of insurance goals 79 seconds apart midway through the third period. Lund scored his second goal of the season, assisted by Patrick O'Connor (SR, Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS) and Austin Martinsen (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS), at the 9:58 mark, then Konnor Carlson (SO, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) scored from Mason Palmer (JR, Plymouth, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) at the 11:17 mark.
• Making his collegiate debut in goal, Samuel Vyletelka (FY, Zilina, Slovakia/Grammar School of St. Francis of Assisi) stopped all 19 shots he faced to pick up the shutout win. 
• Martinsen had seven shots on-goal, while Logan Kons (SO, Niles, Ill./Niles West HS) had four shots. Augsburg outshot UW-Stout by a 36-19 margin in the game.

FOR THE FOES
• Zack Cloutier had 33 saves in goal for UW-Stout.
• Peyton Hart had three shots on-goal for the Blue Devils.
