Auggie women upended by Tommies

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Augsburg University women's basketball team fell 89-42 to the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Schoenecker Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• St. Thomas led from start to finish, as the Auggies struggled to find their offensive rhythm. 
• Offensively, Augsburg was led by Jen Masello (JR, Darien, Ill./Downers Grove South HS), who finished with 12 points, while adding a team-best five rebounds and a pair of assists.
• Chloe Kintop (SO, Foxboro, Wis./Superior HS) scored an Auggie career-best eight points, while adding a pair of rebounds.
• Kalena Myers (FY, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) added seven points and two rebounds, while Selena Lor (JR, Winona, Minn.) finished with six points and four rebounds.
• For the game, Augsburg shot 24.5 percent (13-of-53) from the field, while the St. Thomas connected on 56.9 percent (33-of-58) of its shot attempts.
• The Tommies claimed a 41-28 advantage on the boards.

FOR THE FOES
• St. Thomas was led offensively by Katelyn Stanley, who finished with 14 points.
• Macy Hatlestad pulled down a game-high seven rebounds to go along with nine points.
