MINNEAPOLIS --
Katie Flynn (SO, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS) scored the lone goal of the game for Augsburg University early in the second period, as the Auggies scored a 1-1 overtime tie with the College of Saint Benedict in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey game on Saturday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Seventy-seven seconds into the second period, the Auggies tied the game at 1-1.
Kennedy Stein (FY, Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest HS) stole the puck at the Saint Benedict blue line, then sprinted up the ice on a 3-on-1 break, feeding Flynn in the left slot. Flynn deposited a top-shelf shot for her first goal of the season.
• Augsburg outshot Saint Benedict by a 35-16 margin in the game, including an 8-0 advantage in an overtime session where the Auggies spent four minutes on a pair of 4-on-3 power plays. But Augsburg was unable to put the puck in the net, taking the tie in its second straight overtime contest.

Mara McClain (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) had 15 saves in goal for Augsburg.
