MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Augsburg University closed its abbreviated 2020-21 women's hockey season with a victory on Saturday afternoon, topping host Concordia College-Moorhead 2-0 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Hannah Gold (JR, Mequon, Wis./University School of Milwaukee) scored her first goal of the season at the 8:21 mark of the first period, giving the Auggies a lead they would maintain for the rest of the game.

Katie Flynn (SO, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS) scored an empty-net goal with two seconds remaining in the contest, her second goal of the year, to secure the victory.
• Augsburg outshot Concordia by a 27-20 margin in the game, and
Mara McClain (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) stopped all 20 shots she faced to claim the shutout win. In seven collegiate starts and nine appearances, both of McClain's career wins (2-4-2 overall) have been shutouts.
