NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The Augsburg University softball team suffered a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader defeat at the hands of St. Olaf College on Sunday afternoon, falling 10-2 in six innings and 15-3 in five innings.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• St. Olaf scored a run in the second inning, four runs in the third, two runs in the fourth and three runs in the sixth inning to end the game early via the NCAA eight-run rule. St. Olaf had 15 hits, including six doubles and two home runs, in the first game.
• Augsburg scored twice in the sixth inning, when
Olivia O'Connor (FY, White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) hit a two-run single, platingÂ
Katie Manecke (FY, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) andÂ
Sabriya Passmore (SO, Apple Valley, Minn./Apple Valley HS).
• Manecke and O'Connor had Augsburg's hits in the game, both singles.
• Starting pitcher O'Connor threw three innings andÂ
Bella Kallas (SR, Big Lake, Minn./Big Lake HS) pitched two innings of relief.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Tied 1-1 entering the bottom of the second inning, St. Olaf sent 13 batters to the plate and scored nine runs on eight hits to build an insurmountable lead. Five more runs came across in the bottom of the fourth, as the Oles sent 10 batters to the plate.
• Augsburg scored a run in the second inning, as
Sara Deming (FY, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) singled and eventually came around to score after a throwing error.
• The Auggies scored twice in the fifth, as Passmore hit a two-run triple -- her fourth triple of the year -- to drive in
Kayla Hanson (JR, St. James, Minn./St. James HS) and
Myia Sarff (FY, South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul HS).
• Deming had two hits in the game, with Manecke, Passmore and Hanson collecting the other Auggie hits.
• Passmore started in the pitching circle for the Auggies, with Sarff making her collegiate pitching debut, pitching 2.1 innings of relief.
FOR THE FOES
• Tarah DeCrook hit two home runs in the first game for St. Olaf, with Ally Bode and Hannah Matthies collecting two doubles each.
• Hannah Matthies went 3-for-4 with six RBI in the second game.
