WHITEWATER, Wis. -- Jen Masello (SR, Darien, Ill./Downers Grove South HS) scored her fourth career goal for Augsburg University in the 75th minute, but the Auggies could not overcome an early deficit in a 3-1 nonconference women's soccer loss to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Friday evening.

• Masello scored Augsburg's lone goal at the 74:32 mark, an unassisted tally, for her first goal of the season and fourth of her career.
• UW-Whitewater outshot Augsburg by a 17-8 margin in the game, including an 11-3 advantage in the second half. The Warhawks had 10 corner kicks to the Auggies' one in the game.
• Aspen Brockhouse (SR, Chaska, Minn./Des Moines (Iowa) Christian HS) had two saves in goal in the first half, and Iz Shuster (SO, Waconia, Minn./Waconia HS) had three saves in the second half.
• Masello, Ana Ortiz (SR, Waterloo, Iowa/Columbus Catholic HS) and Molly Conners (SR, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS) had two shots each for the Auggies.

FOR THE FOES
• Anna Brodjian scored goals in the 23rd and 63rd minutes for the Warhawks, bracketing a 27th-minute goal by Anna May. Brodjian also had an assist.
• Leah Eisenbarth had two saves in goal for UW-Whitewater.
