MINNEAPOLIS – Thanks to a strong night from the scoring trio of
Jen Masello (SR, Darien, Ill./Downers Grove South HS),
Kalena Myers (SO, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS), and
Jaley Coplin (JR, Shakoppe, Minn./Shakopee HS), the Augsburg University women's basketball team topped Concordia College-Moorhead 63-44 on Wednesday night for its ninth straight win in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Auggies carried all the momentum off the opening tip as they jumped out to an early 10-0 lead with Masello scoring six of the first 10 points. The Cobbers would eventually get on the board at the 6:18 mark, but the Auggies continued to roll as they finished the quarter with a 20-6 advantage. The game tightened in the second quarter, but Augsburg still managed to push the lead to 18 at halftime.
• Concordia-Moorhead managed to outscore the Auggies 13-10 in the third quarter to bring the deficit to 15, but it didn't matter as the Auggies once again outscored the Cobbers 16-12 in the fourth to cement the dominant victory.
• Masello recorded her sixth double-double in 12 games this season and the seventh of her career with 17 points on seven-of-15 shooting and a new career-high 16 boards. She also tallied five assists, two steals, and a block.
• Myers knocked down six of her 12 shots in the game, finishing with 16 points, four rebounds, four assists, and a steal.
• Coplin hit five of her 12 shots in the game, with all five makes coming from beyond the arc. Her five made three-pointers matches her career-high set in the Auggies' first game of the season against Bethany Lutheran.

Selena Lor (SR, Winona, Minn./Winona HS) added seven points, six rebounds, and four assists for Augsburg.
Grace Eastman (JR, St. Francis, Minn./St. Francis HS) rounded out the starting five with five points, two steals, a rebound, and a block.
• The game marked the ninth time this season that the Auggies have hit five or more three-pointers.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• The Auggies' 9-0 to start to MIAC play this season extends the new program record for most MIAC wins in a row to start the season, besting the previous record of 7-0 set in 2018-19.
FOR THE FOES
• Autumn Thompson, Mary Sem, and Makayla Anderson led the Cobbers with six points each.
