46 Auggies earn Academic All-MIAC fall honors

2021-22 ACADEMIC ALL-MIAC--FALL SPORTS

MINNEAPOLIS -- A total of 46 Augsburg University student-athletes earned Academic All-Conference honors from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference during the fall of the 2021-22 school year, it was announced on Wednesday.

Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior, or senior (transfers must have spent a full year at their current school) with a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 on a 4.00 scale to qualify for MIAC Academic All-Conference recognition.

Athletically, student-athletes in football, men's and women's soccer and volleyball must compete in 50 percent of their team's varsity regular-season contests. Athletes in men's and women's cross country are required to finish in the overall top 100 or their team's top seven at the 2019 MIAC Cross Country Championship.

The 46 Auggies are among a record group of 777 MIAC student-athletes. The previous fall-sport high was 721, set in the 2020-21 academic year.
