FINAL SCORE: Augsburg 5, Adrian 2
LOCATION: Ed Saugestad Rink, Minneapolis

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Bulldogs were more aggressive taking shots in the first period, outshooting the Auggies 13-7 in the opening 20 minutes. Despite the lopsided shot margin, the Auggies managed to score first on a goal by Stein assisted by Claire Jenkins Coffman (SO, Mount Pleasant, Wis./The Prairie School) at the 6:31 mark.
• Stein would find the back of goal once again just over five minutes later to put the Auggies up 2-0 with an assist going to Sydney Rydel (SO, Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS).
• Adrian would answer with their first goal just 80 seconds into the second period, but Kensie Malone (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./Gentry Academy) put the Auggies back on top by two again less than a minute later with an assist going to Brooke Leone (SR, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS).
Hannah Gold (SR, Mequon, Wis./University School of Milwaukee) opened the scoring in the third period, giving the Auggies their largest lead of the game at the 11:28 mark. The Bulldogs continued to fight and cut the deficit to two with just over five minutes remaining, but Stein scored her third goal of the night and earned the hat trick to seal the win for Augsburg.
• The shot margin was relatively even as the teams alternated outshooting each other in each period and Adrian finished with 30 shots while Augsburg finished with 31.
Chloe Stockinger (SO, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) earned the win in goal for the Auggies, stopping 28 of the 30 shots she faced.
