QUOTE FROM HEAD COACH MIKE NAVARRE
• "The score line doesn't reflect the quality of our overall play today; we were very good, constructed a lot of great opportunities. We defended well, but gave up three goals on set pieces, which obviously made it difficult for us. I just feel bad for the group as they have really worked hard and played well at the end of the season. Missing key players to injury in the second half of the season, we still put some great soccer together. It's very difficult to fail to qualify for our conference tournament; it is something we expect to achieve. Nevertheless, we obviously have to be better at capitalizing on our opportunities and mitigating mistakes, as the margin of error is slim and it's a very competitive league. While it was a challenging season, the players themselves did not make it challenging -- they were a joy to be with and my staff is proud to have the privilege to coach them. The challenges were injury, illness and simply not being able to manifest our potential into results."
• "Finally, I want to personally acknowledge and thank our seniors: Molly, Jenn and Sam. Each of them are outstanding players who made a large impact on our program. While this stings, I believe the future is bright for our program. We have great players and people. We will learn and grow from this season, and return with more conviction and resolve next year."
