MINNEAPOLIS – Behind a season-best scoring effort and the second career shutout for goalie
Chloe Stockinger (JR, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS), the 14th-ranked Augsburg University women's hockey team finished its Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series with a 6-0 triumph over St. Catherine University on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Emily Cronkhite (SO, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) scored a pair of goals,
Sydney Rydel (JR, Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) had a goal and an assist, and
Kennedy Stein (JR, Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest HS) claimed four assists to lead the Auggie offense in the victory.
• Cronkhite opened the scoring with a goal from Stein at the 8:13 mark of the first period.
Emily Schoeberl (FY, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) scored her first collegiate goal three minutes later, taking a pass from Stein and driving forward to score on a wrister from the slot.
• Rydel scored on a one-timer off a centering pass from
Jenna Gerold (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) at the 10:19 mark of the second period, with Peyton Allen (SR, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) getting the second assist. Just 1:12 later,
Katie Flynn (SR, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS) put home a centering pass from
Malia Schubert (JR, Mantorville, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS), with
Kiley Wahlin (SO, Blaine, Minn./Totino-Grace HS) recording the second assist on a cross-ice pass.
• Cronkhite tapped in a rebound off a shot by Stein at the 2:48 mark of the third period, and
Claire Jenkins Coffman (JR, Mount Pleasant, Wis./The Prairie School) capped the scoring with a rising shot goal in the slot from Rydel and Stein with 2:52 left in the game.
• Augsburg outshot St. Catherine by a 30-23 margin, and Stockinger claimed her second career shutout with a 23-save effort.
FOR THE FOES
• Elizabeth Kubicek had 13 saves in goal for St. Catherine in 32 minutes, before being relieved by Abby Severson. Severson had 11 saves in 28 minutes.
