MINNEAPOLIS --
Austin Martinsen (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) tipped home a drive from
Patrick O'Connor (SR, Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS) 7:35 into overtime, giving the No. 4-ranked Augsburg University men's hockey team a 4-3 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Playoff Quarterfinal victory over Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• All four of Augsburg's goals came on the power play, as the Auggies went 4-for-7 with the man advantage. The final goal came as the Auggies cycled the puck at the point. O'Connor took a pass from
Austin Dollimer (SR, Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount HS) and fired a wrist shot from the blue line, which Martinsen tipped in the slot for his 14th goal of the season and sixth game-winning goal.
• Dollimer scored two power-play goals in the game, the first coming on a one-timer in the slot off a pass from
Erik Palmqvist (JR, Linkoping, Sweden/Anderstorpsgymnasiet), with Martinsen getting the second assist. His second goal tied the game at 3-3 with 5:54 left in the third period, as he put home a rebound off a Martinsen shot, with the second assist going to O'Connor.

Grant Reichenbacher (JR, Verona, Wis./Madison Edgewood HS) scored his eighth goal of the season, a power-play marker at the 8:59 mark of the second period, putting home a rebound off a
Fritz Belisle (JR, Red Wing, Minn./Roseville HS) one-timer fed from
Logan Kons (SO, Niles, Ill./Niles West HS).
• Augsburg outshot Gustavus by a 42-26 margin in the game, incluidng a 13-6 advantage in the third period and 4-2 advantage in overtime.

Jack Robbel (JR, Bloomington, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) had 23 saves in goal, improving to 15-1-0 on the season.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• It's the second time this season that Augsburg has scored four power-play goals in a game this season; the Auggies also had four power-play goals in a 4-0 win over St. Scholastica on Nov. 20. Augsburg is now connecting on a 24.5-percent rate on its power-play opportunities (26-of-106).
• Augsburg has now outscored its opponents by a 99-44 margin this season.

• Connor Clemons had a goal and assist for Gustavus, scoring at the 6:37 mark of the second period. Toby Sengvongxay scored in the second period and Patrick Gazich scored in the third period to give the Gusties a 3-2 lead.

• The MIAC regular-season champions, Augsburg has the top seed in the MIAC postseason playoffs, and will host No. 5-seed Bethel in a semifinal game on Wednesday (3/2) at 7 p.m. at Ed Saugestad Rink. Bethel also had an overtime win in the quarterfinals on Saturday, topping No. 4-seed St. Scholastica 4-3.
