ST. PETER, Minn. – The Augsburg University women's basketball team dropped its second Minnesota Intercollegiate Conference contest of the season on Monday night, falling 67-50 to Gustavus at Gus Young Court.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Gustavus held all the momentum early in the game, jumping out to a 7-0 lead that lasted until the 6:08 mark when
Selena Lor (SR, Winona, Minn./Winona HS) got the Auggies on the board with a three-pointer. The Gustavus advantage remained at five as they led 13-8 at the end of the first. The Gustie lead continued to grow in the second thanks in large part to a 7-0 run to close the quarter and make it an 18-point game at the half.
• The deficit never dropped below 13 points in the third quarter with Gustavus holding a 14-point advantage heading into the final frame. Gustavus maintained the double-digit lead throughout the fourth as they cruised to their second straight win.
• Lor was the scoring leader for the second straight game, recording 18 points on seven-of-15 shooting with three assists, a rebound, and a steal.

Anja Smith (SO, Kewaskum, Wis./Saint Mary's Springs HS) nearly notched another double-double, tallying 13 points, nine rebounds, and a steal.

Kalena Myers (SO, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) scored eight points and added two assists for the Auggies.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Following the game, both
Jen Masello (SR, Darien, Ill./Downers Grove South HS) and Smith rank within the top five in several categories of the
MIAC overall statistics rankings. Masello ranks second in rebounds per-game (9.2) while Smith ranks second in points per-game (15.1) and fourth in field goal percentage (50.5%).
FOR THE FOES
• Anna Sanders led the Gusties with 14 points whiel Rachel Kawiecki finished with 12 points and Emma Kniefel added 11.
