Three Auggies named WGCA All-American Scholars

WGCA ALL-AMERICAN SCHOLAR RELEASE

MINNEAPOLIS – Three Augsburg University women's golfers were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association's All-American Scholars list for the 2021-22 school year, it was announced this week. 
 
Auggies Emma Kraft (SR, Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson HS) and Olivia Boe (SR, Stewartville, Minn./Stewartville HS) each earned the WGCA All-American Scholar honors for the third straight season, while Elizabeth Fagerlind (FY, Kasson, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS) earned the honor for the first time in her collegiate career. Kraft is a biopsychology major with a 3.85 grade-point average, while Boe is an economics major with a 4.00 GPA, and Fagerlind is a business management/finance major with a 4.00 GPA. To earn WGCA All-American Scholar honors, golfers must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better. Both Boe and Kraft also earned Academic All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors this year, Boe for the second time and Kraft for the third time.
 
Kraft finished the 2021-22 season with a single-season school-record 81.0 stroke average in 12.5 competitive rounds, scoring in the 70s and 80s 11 times. She finished her career with Augsburg's best scoring average in program history, with an 85.29 average in 43.5 competitive rounds. She holds three of the top 13 single-season scoring records in school history.

Boe finished her third collegiate season with a 95.4 stroke average, completing her career with a 95.3 stroke average in 29.5 competitive rounds. Fagerlind finished third on the team in scoring in 2021-22, finishing her first college campaign with an 85.0 stroke average in 12.5 rounds.

Under ninth-year head coach Eric Rolland, Augsburg finished the 2021-22 season with a 340.0 team stroke average, the best average in the 26-year history of the program.
