Jayla Ponce (SO, Kuna, Idaho/Kuna HS) scored a pair of goals and added an assist, as her Augsburg University women's soccer team rallied from a first-half deficit with four straight goals in a 4-1 win at Macalester College in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After allowing a goal in the 33rd minute, Augsburg responded with four straight goals to claim their second straight win in MIAC play.

Molly Conners (SR, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS) scored her second goal of the year in the 43rd minute, as her corner kick deflected off the Macalester goalkeeper's hands and into the net.
• One minute into the second half, the Auggies took the lead. A cross from the right wing by
Phoebe Alva Rosa (FY, Jackson, Wyo./Jackson Hole HS) deflected off the crossbar to Ponce on the left edge of the goal, and she reached forward to put the ball home.
• Ponce scored her second goal of the game and team-leading fourth of the season in the 58th minute. Conners sent a free kick from 35 yards out, which bounced over the goalkeeper in front to a charging Ponce, who put the ball in the open net.

Jennifer Bobaric (SR, Andover, Minn./Andover HS) capped the scoring for the Auggies with a goal in the 68th minute, taking a lead pass from Ponce and sprinting up the left wing, depositing the ball across to the low right corner of the net for her third goal of the year.
• Augsburg outshot Macalester by a 17-9 margin, including a 9-4 advantage in the second half.Â
• Ponce had four shots in the game, while Bobaric and
Alanna Franklin (SO, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) had three shots each.

• Ponce now has four goals and five assists for 13 points on the season.
• Augsburg has now outscored its opponents by a 19-7 margin in its first seven games of the season.
• Augsburg's four goals were the first allowed by Macalester in its seven games this year, after outscoring its foes by an 11-0 margin in its first six games.
