QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH GREG HOLKER
• "We started pretty slowly tonight, in part due to Northwestern's play, and in part due to our shape being a bit discombobulated. That was 100 percent my fault. When we did get behind them, we looked dangerous, and Camel created a great goal with Tomas cutting across the goal to slam in his second goal in as many games. Otherwise, the first half was relatively slow and boring."
• "In the second half, we looked much more committed to playing in a way that served us with a lot of shorter, quicker passes and more balls that played out opponents. It was going to be a matter of time before we broke in and scored, because we kept getting deep on the endline and serving back across to create loads of chances. Eventually we got fouled in a dangerous spot and Jessie's service was perfect for Jono to rise up and head home. Jono was clearly the man of the match for his outstanding performance tonight. He was tremendous on both sides of the ball -- it was his best game as an Auggie."
• "Our final goal was created by Tomas and finished by Tomas, as he dangled through a few guys to get chopped down in the box. If our guys can continue to be brave and run at players, we are going to get more penalties because of their ability to imbalance defenders."
• "Now we move on to the portion of our season that matters most, as we host Hamline on Tuesday in MIAC play. We have a few more days to sharpen our end of things and get a plan in place, and then it's time to enjoy this incredibly balanced and competitive league."
