MINNEAPOLIS – The Augsburg University men's basketball team played host to the Saint Mary's University Cardinals, now winners of eight consecutive games, on Monday evening, falling 91-57 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at Si Melby Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg led 5-4 in the opening minutes of the game, but the Cardinals took control for the remainder of the half, working their way to a 19-point advantage at halftime.
• Saint Mary's remained in the driver's seat throughout the second half, continuing to push the lead en route to the dominant victory.

Will Blascziek (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) had a strong game for the Auggies, scoring a career-high 21 points on 7-14 shooting. The performance was Blascziek's fifth consecutive game in double-figure scoring and his ninth in 15 games this year.

Kayser Hasaan (FY, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) added eight points and two rebounds while
Colin Meade (JR, Rochester, Minn./Lourdes HS) and
Bradley Winter (SR, Winona, Minn./Winona HS) scored six each.
FOR THE FOES
• Jabari Sawyer led all scorers with 22 points while Owen Ziegler and Raheem Anthony each finished with 21.
