MINOT, N.D. -- Giving its young wrestlers a chance to shine in a dual meet, the Augsburg University women's wrestling team won six of the eight bouts held in a 29-10 victory at Minot State University on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg, ranked No. 5 in the latest NWCA women's NCAA tournament rankings and No. 4 in the dual-meet rankings, scored wins in six of the eight bouts, including two forfeits, in the dual-meet portion of Saturday's event, and scored three wins in five extra bouts.
• Augsburg's Kya Rybachek (SR, Mountain Iron, Minn./Hibbing HS) scored a 1:17 pin over Annika Gotlieb at 136 pounds for the Auggies, improving to 12-5 on the season with her ninth win by fall.
• Brooklyn Hays (FY, Lindon, Utah/Pleasant Grove HS), ranked No. 5 nationally at 155 pounds, improved to 24-7 with her 15th pin of the year, a 1:46 match-ender over Nina Sandoval.
• Belle Huss (FY, Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial HS) scored her first career technical fall, topping Madison Parson 10-0 in 2:05 at 191 pounds.
• In the extra matches, 130-pounder Autumn Flanigan (JR, Troy, Mo./Troy Buchanan HS) scored a 10-0 technical fall in 2:15, and 143-pounder Ellisa Jmemez (FY, Cathedral City, Calif./Xavier College Preparatory HS) and 191-pounder Maia Foster (FY, Decorah, Iowa/Decorah) both won by first-period pin.
