DULUTH, Minn. – With nine different players figuring in the scoring, the Augsburg University men's soccer team clinched a spot in the six-team Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference postseason playoffs with a 6-2 victory at the College of St. Scholastica on Saturday afternoon.

THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Augsburg 6, St. Scholastica 2
LOCATION: Kenny Harkins Field, Duluth, Minn.
RECORDS: Augsburg 8-3-5 overall (4-1-4 MIAC), St. Scholastica 2-12-1 overall (0-8-1 MIAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Kebba Janneh (JR, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS), the MIAC's leader in both goals (13) and points (31), claimed his fifth multi-goal game of the season, scoring a pair of goals for the Auggies. He tapped in a centering pass from Mitchel Munzing (SO, Portland, Ore./Grant HS) for a goal in the 11th minute, then scored on a free kick from the top of the 18-yard box in the 59th minute.
• Augsburg outshot St. Scholastica by a 30-14 margin in the game, including a 21-5 advantage in the first half. Augsburg scored on four of its nine shots in the second half.
Jonathan Ongeri-Kamara (SR, Richfield, Minn./Bloomington Kennedy HS) gave the Auggies a 2-0 lead in the 26th minute, completing a play after Mizael Harris (SO, Portland, Ore./La Salle Catholic College Prep HS) fed Ceazar Daniell (SO, Portland, Ore./Cleveland HS) on a downfield pass.
• Harris and Daniell assisted again on Augsburg's fourth goal, with a drop pass from Harris to Daniell and a centering pass to Owen Salzwedel (FY, St. Anthony Village, Minn./St. Anthony Village HS) for his fourth goal of the campaign.
• The Auggies clinched the victory with a pair of goals in the last 10 minutes, as Yonis Muse (SO, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) scored on a long ball from 25 yards out, and Remus Repcak (FY, Tualatin, Ore./Tualatin HS) scored on a drive and nifty move past a defender, assisted by Helio De La Torre (SR, Oakdale, Minn./Mahtomedi HS).
• Auggie goalkeeper Oscar Herrera (SR, Madison, Wis./Madison West HS) had one save in 89 minutes, with Andrew Ziebarth (FY, Willmar, Minn./Willmar HS) playing the final minute in goal.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Augsburg clinched its eighth berth in the MIAC postseason playoffs in program history, and fourth in the past eight seasons.

FOR THE FOES
• Parker Chastey and Andres Gradilla scored goals for St. Scholastica.
• Ben Hallberg had nine saves in goal.

QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH GREG HOLKER
• "For the first 20 minutes of the game, we looked in complete control. We were calm and smart in possession and created some very high quality chances. Their GK was outstanding early, and kept the game close. Ceazar and Jono were really good today, getting into advanced positions and it makes sense that Jono's goal came from Ceazar after Mizael put him in. Outside back to outside back goals are a lot of fun."
• "Unfortunately, we allowed some stress to creep in when the younger Chastey smashed a banger into the top corner. We became a bit unhinged in possession and started to go a bit long where we were not winning the first or second balls. It was a sloppy segment, for sure."
• "In the second half, we reclaimed possession and control of the game, and then the goals started with Kebba's free kick. By the time it was over, we were able to get everyone that traveled into the game and we got some goals from Remus and Yonis to finish it off."
• "Drew Collins was outstanding again today. He was great in possession and just a strong anchor to our defense. Zacharia Sherian was really good as our No. 6 today -- he has a bright future ahead."
• "With the win, we have clinched a playoff spot, and now it is a matter of what seed we are after next week's game. "
