STEVENS POINT, Wis. – With five different players scoring goals, the Augsburg University women's hockey team scored its third straight victory, a 5-0 nonconference triumph at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg dominated play throughout the game, outshooting the Pointers by a 37-11 margin. The Auggies have now outscored their opponents by a 34-20 margin this season.

Sydney Rydel (SR, Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) opened the scoring with her third goal of the season 4:28 into play, scoring on a rebound off her own shot on a two-skater break, fed by
Kennedy Stein (SR, Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest HS) and
Nora Stepan (SO, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS).

Emily Cronkhite (JR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) scored her team-leading seventh goal of the season at the 13:57 mark of the second period, scoring in the slot off a feed by
Ella Olson (FY, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS), following a faceoff win by
Emily Schoeberl (SO, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS).
• The Auggies scored three goals in the third period, started by Schoeberl with a power-play goal at the 1:45 mark, her fifth goal of the year. She put in a shot off the goalpost from the right side, off of feeds by Olson and Cronkhite.
• Stein then scored her fourth goal of the season, eluding several defenders on an unassisted, end-to-end break with a shot under the goalkeeper at the 6:36 mark.
• The final goal of the game came from Stepan, who notched a power-play marker with 4:21 left to play, a rising shot from the right point, assisted by Cronkhite and Olson.

Marissa Paaske (SO, Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central HS) had 11 saves in 52 minutes of action, with
Charlesa Prior (JR, Superior, Wis./Duluth (Minn.) Marshall HS), a transfer from Lawrence (Wis.), seeing her first action in goal in an Auggie uniform in the final 7:36 of play.
FOR THE FOES
• Emily Griege had 24 saves in 47:44 of action in goal for UW-Stevens Point, with Jordyn Godfrey recording eight saves in 12:16 of relief.
