Jade Wilson (FY, Waukee, Iowa/Northwest HS) had an incredible individual performance for the Augsburg University women's lacrosse team in its 18-16 nonconference loss at Augustana College (Ill.) on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Wilson shined in all facets of the game for the Auggies, scoring five goals on nine shots and adding an assist for a six-point day. She collected 13 draw controls -- tied for the fourth-most in a single game in school history -- and had 12 ground balls -- tied for the second most in a single game in school history. Wilson also had three caused turnovers in the game.
• Trailing 15-8 midway through the third quarter, Augsburg staged a 7-1 scoring run to cut the Vikings' lead to 16-15 with 5:16 left to play. But Augustana took advantage of a man-up situation to score a goal with 3:27 left, and added a free-position insurance goal with 1:36 left. Augsburg cut the lead to its final margin with a free-position goal by Wilson with 10 seconds left, but could get no closer.

Mackenzie Galazen (SO, Kimball, Minn./Rocori HS) scored three goals with two caused turnovers, five ground balls and a draw control for the Auggies.

Shelby Ramirez (SR, Winthrop, Minn./Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop HS) scored two goals with an assist, adding five ground balls and four caused turnovers.

Rylan Lee (SR. Parker, Colo./Ponderosa HS) scored two goals with six ground balls and a caused turnover, and
Isabella Kohout (FY, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) scored two goals with a ground ball and caused turnover.

Alexa Hoffman (JR, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) scored a goal with an assist, three ground balls and a caused turnover, and
Eleanor Flynn (FY, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS) scored a goal with three ground balls.
Beatriz Sandoval Gomez (SO, Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS) had two ground balls and two caused turnover.

Nicole Schuster (FY, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) had a season-high 15 saves, adding a ground ball.
FOR THE FOES
• Elena Bechard scored nine goals with seven ground balls, two draw controls and a caused turnover to lead Augustana. Kim Claire scored five goals.
• Rachel Forman had 13 saves in goal, adding three ground balls.
