MINNEAPOLIS -- It's going to be a busy day on the Augsburg University campus this Saturday (9/30), with home events in football, volleyball, men's soccer and women's soccer. Here are some tips to make your athletic day at Augsburg easier and less stressful.
GET TICKETS EARLY ONLINE
•
Augsburg now has an entirely cashless process for purchasing tickets, via HomeTown Ticketing.
Tickets must be purchased online (click here for the link) or on the HomeTown Ticketing app (available on
Apple IOS or
Android), using a credit card or Google Pay. Tickets are $7 for adults, $3 for students and seniors. Augsburg students, faculty and staff get in free with Augsburg ID.
Click here for the link to purchase tickets online. Augsburg also accepts credit cards at concession stands, so you can truly leave your cash at home! Gates will open 90 minutesÂ
(11:30 a.m.) before football game time and one hour
(6:00 p.m.) before the volleyball match.
GET TO AUGSBURG EARLY FOR PARKING
•
Parking around the Augsburg campus will be busy on Saturday. Get to campus early to find a prime parking space. Parking is available in most Augsburg lots (click here for a campus map), with the closest lots to the athletic facilities being Lot L (adjacent to Edor Nelson Field) and Lot K (adjacent to Si Melby Hall and Ed Saugestad Rink). Lot J (next to the Foss Chapel) is reserved for Augsburg Admissions and "future Auggies" with permits, and is not available for gameday parking.
• There is also on-street parking available on Riverside Avenue, Butler Place, 23rd Avenue South and the streets around Murphy Square Park.
Please be aware of street signs where you park, as city streets in the area have varying parking time limits or are metered, including on weekends, and they are patrolled quite often by Minneapolis Police.
KEEP FIDO AT HOME
•
Augsburg has a strict "no pets" policy in its athletic facilities. The only animals allowed in athletic facilities are CERTIFIED service animals. You will be turned away if you bring your pet (that is not a certified service animal) to the game.
POSTGAME - PLEASE MEET IN THE PARK OR PARKING LOT
• One of the traditions of MIAC athletics is parents, families and friends meeting with their student-athletes after the games on the field. Due to the tight time turnarounds between the football and soccer games, we request that during postgame, parents, families and friends meet their student-athletes either in Murphy Square Park (west of Edor Nelson Field) or in Parking Lot L (east of Edor Nelson Field). This will help our game management and facilities staff to get the field prepared quickly for the next event.
