MINNEAPOLIS –
Emily Cronkhite (JR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) scored for host Augsburg University in the final minute of the third period, but the No. 7-ranked University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire responded with three straight goals to score a 3-1 nonconference women's hockey victory on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Cronkhite scored her team-leading 11th goal of the season at the 19:24 mark of the first period, sprinting in from the right wing and sliding a low wrist shot into the net. Linemates
Emily Schoeberl (SO, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) and
Ella Olson (FY, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) assisted on the goal.
• The Blugolds, ranked No. 7 in the latest USCHO.com Division III national poll, tied the game on a shorthanded goal midway through the second period, and took the lead with a goal with 5:39 left in the middle frame. UW-Eau Claire scored an insurance goal early in the third period to clinch the nonconference win.
• Augsburg outshot UW-Eau Claire by a 26-23 margin in the game. However, the Auggies went 0-for-5 on the power play, and UW-Eau Claire held a 38-to-25 advantage in faceoffs.

Nora Stepan (SO, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) had five blocked shots and Olson had four blocked shots for the Auggies.
