Augsburg scores fourth straight victory

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Augsburg University volleyball team claimed its fourth straight victory, and third straight sweep, with a 3-0 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference triumph at Hamline University on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• In a match that lasted just 75 minutes, Augsburg was efficient, hitting at a .220 clip, with 41 kills against just 15 errors in 118 attack attempts. Meanwhile, the Pipers hit just .087, with 31 kills against 21 errors in 115 swings.
• Setter Angel Vo (SR, Blaine, Minn./Mounds View HS) claimed her 10th assist-dig double-double of the season, with 22 assists and 14 digs. Her setting mate in Augsburg's 6-2 attack, Jovial King (SO, Caledonia, Minn./Caledonia HS), had 12 assists, five digs and a service ace.
Elizabeth Oster (SO, Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji HS) had her sixth match hitting above .400 this season, hitting .450 with 10 kills against one error in 20 swings. She added three blocks (one solo) in the win.
• Bri Van Well (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) also had a strong attacking game, with 10 kills on .242 hitting, with just two errors in 33 attack attempts, adding six digs and a block assist.
• Ava Carlson (FY, Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) had eight kills, nine digs, two service aces and two blocks (one solo), and Taylor Hoehns (JR, Cedar Falls, Iowa/Dike-New Hartford HS) had six kills and a block assist.
• Libero Torrie Rehder (SR, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS) had 15 digs.

FOR THE FOES
• Hamline was led by Lauren Wilborn, who had 10 kills, nine digs and two block assists.
• Jenna Rubbelke had 18 digs for the Pipers.
