INDIANOLA, IOWA – With three starters scoring in double figures, the Augsburg University men's basketball team pulled away in the second half for a 74-59 nonconference victory at Simpson College on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Leading 39-33 at halftime, Augsburg slowly pulled away in the second half, with an 12-5 run giving the Auggies their biggest lead of the game, 55-40 with 12:45 left to play. Augsburg connected on 15-of-30 (50.0 percent) from the field in the second half, part of a 47.5-percent (28-of-59) effort in the game. Simpson hit just 37.0 percent (10-of-27) from the field in the second half.
• Augsburg dominated on the inside, outrebounding the Storm by a 42-27 margin, scoring 12 second-chance points on 13 offensive rebounds. The Auggies outscored Simpson in the paint by a 48-28 margin.

Andy Stafford (SR, Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins HS) scored 16 points with five rebounds to lead Augsburg, while
Will Blascziek (SR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) scored 15 points with seven rebounds and two assists.
