MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University men's hockey team opened Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with a 4-1 home loss to Concordia College-Moorhead on Friday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Trailing 2-0 after one period, Augsburg scored its lone goal at the 5:56 mark of the second frame, an unassisted goal from
Luke Mountain (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS).
• Augsburg outshot Concordia by a 36-34 margin, but the Cobbers scored twice in the first period and twice in the third period to claim the conference season-opening victory.

Nick Catalano (JR, Pewaukee, Wis./Arrowhead Union HS) had five shots on-goal for the Auggies, while
Cade Stibbe (JR, Fargo, N.D./Fargo Davies HS) had four shots.

Carsen Stokes (SO, Prior Lake, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) had 30 saves in goal for Augsburg.
FOR THE FOES
• Caden Triggs and Blaise Miller had a goal and assist each for Concordia, with Joe Harguindeguy and Hanson O'Leary also scoring goals. Hunter Olson had two assists.
• Dane Couture had 35 saves in goal.
