DUBUQUE, Iowa -- Rallying from a 15-9 deficit with victories in the final three bouts of the dual meet, the No. 6-ranked Augsburg University men's wrestling team claimed a 20-15 victory over No. 11-ranked Loras College on Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg, ranked No. 6 in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III national poll, won six of the 10 bouts in the dual meet with the No. 11-ranked Duhawks, including the final three bouts to overcome a 15-9 deficit.

Brandt Bombard (JR, North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) started the Auggie comeback with a 5-1 victory over Landry Barker at 184 pounds, and No. 3-ranked 197-pounder
Parker Venz (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) took advantage of two takedowns and two four-point near-falls to score a 16-1, technical fall victory over Alex Watson to give the Auggies a 17-15 advantage entering the final bout. Venz is now 7-0 on the season.
• The final bout, between Augsburg's
Tyler Raway (JR, Wyoming, Minn./Forest Lake HS) and Loras' Jonah Clark, was a close one early, tied 4-4 after one period. Raway rode Clark on top for the entire second period, ending up with more than two minutes of riding time to eventually gain a bonus point. He scored a takedown late in the bout for a 9-5, match-clinching victory.
• Down 6-0 after the first two bouts,
Cade Willis (JR, Kansasville, Wis./Union Grove HS) scored an impressive 11-4 overtime win over Loras' No. 13-ranked Jalen Schropp at 141. Tied 4-4 going into the first sudden-victory overtime session, Willis fought off an attack by Schropp and turned the tables to gain a takedown and four-point near-fall to close the win.

Matthew Randolph (FY, Jordan, Minn./Jordan HS (Scott West)) continued his outstanding start to his collegiate career, improving to 8-0 on the year with a 4-0 triumph over Chase Fiser at 149 pounds. Randolph, ranked No. 11 nationally, needed just a first-period takedown and second-period escape to remain unbeaten.
• No. 3-ranked 165-pounder
Cooper Willis (JR, Kansasville, Wis./Union Grove HS) improved to 9-0 on the season with a strong 7-0 win over No. 8-ranked Dustin Bohren, using takedowns in the first and third periods to score the victory.

• Loras won three meetings of ranked wrestlers on Thursday, as No. 14-ranked 133-pounder Aiden Evans scored an 11-5 win over Augsburg's No. 10-ranked
Chance Suddeth (SO, Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton HS), No. 4-ranked 157-pounder Eric Kinkaid claimed a 16-1, third-period technical fall win over No. 7-ranked
Blake Jagodzinske (SR, Sherburn, Minn./Martin County West HS), and No. 3-ranked 174-pounder Zeb Gnida claimed a 15-6 major decision of No. 5-ranked
Seth Goetzinger (SR, Chatfield, Minn./Chatfield HS).
