MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University men's hockey team's season came to an end in upset fashion on Saturday, as No. 5-seed St. Olaf College claimed a 4-0 victory over the top-seeded Auggies in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Playoff semifinal game on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• St. Olaf was outshot by a 32-22 margin, but capitalized on its opportunities, scoring a goal in the first period, a pair of goals in a 2:53 span in the second period, and an empty-net goal with 1:12 left to advance to the conference playoff championship game, snapping Augsburg's seven-game (6-0-1) unbeaten streak.

Garrett Hendrickson, Augsburg claimed its 12th MIAC regular-season championship in school history in the 2023-24 campaign, and reached the MIAC playoffs for the ninth full season in a row.
