MINNEAPOLIS --
Torrie Rehder (JR, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS) hit a two-run homer to give Augsburg University its final lead in a 4-3 win over Crown College in the first game, and the Auggies used a five-run sixth inning to claim an NCAA eight-run rule victory, 11-3, in the second game, as the Auggies swept the Polars in a nonconference softball doubleheader on Friday evening at Edor Nelson Field.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg took a 2-1 lead in the third inning, as Rehder hit a one-out single, moved to second on a groundout and came around to score on an RBI single by
Lola Pilon (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Mounds Park Academy HS).
• Crown took the lead with a two-run homer in the top of the sixth inning, but the Auggies took the lead back in the bottom of the frame. With two outs,
Katie Manecke (SR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) walked, and Rehder followed with her third career home run, a towering shot to right field.
• The Polars scored a run in the second inning, but the Auggies tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the second, as Pilon led off the frame with a double and scored on a single by
Jaime Olson (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS).

Libby Moore (SR, Springville, Iowa/Springville HS) made her season debut in the pitching circle and earned the complete-game victory, striking out seven against one walk and six hits. She threw 70 strikes among her 103 pitches.
• Rehder, Olson, Pilon and
Olivia Hennager (SO, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) had two hits each for the Auggies in their 12-hit attack.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Making her second pitching start in an Augsburg uniform,
Morgann Paaske (JR, Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central HS) improved to 2-0 with a six-inning win, striking out six against two walks and four hits. She extended her scoreless inning streak to 11 to start the season, before Crown scored three unearned runs against her in the bottom of the sixth inning.
• The Auggies sent 10 batters to the plate and scored five runs on four hits in the decisive sixth inning, enabling them to end the game an inning early via the NCAA eight-run rule. A bases-loaded walk and a sacrifice fly plated a pair of runs, followed by a pair of RBI singles by Manecke and Rehder, and an RBI double by Madddalyn Deal (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS) -- her first collegiate hit.

Zoie Johnson (JR, Carlton, Minn./Esko HS) hit a run-scoring single in the first inning, with two more runs coming home on a bases-loaded walk and a wild pitch. Another bases-loaded walk plated a run in the second inning, Johnson drove in a run on a groundout in the fourth inning, and a run came across on a wild pitch in the fifth.
• Johnson and
Jayden Evenson (SO, Mosinee, Wis./Mosinee HS) had two hits each in the second game, with Evenson scoring two runs. Rehder also scored two runs in the second game.
FOR THE FOES
• Katie Vaughn hit a two-run homer for Crown in the first game, part of a 2-for-3 effort with two runs scored.
• Sydney Gardner hit a three-run double in the sixth inning for Crown in the second game.
