TOURNAMENT RESULTS
SARTELL, Minn. -- The Augsburg University women's golf team opened its 2024-25 season with one of its best 36-hole performances in program history, finishing seventh at the College of Saint Benedict Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg finished in seventh place in the 10-school, 13-team tournament with a two-day total of 693 (343-350), the ninth-best 36-hole team score in program history, and one of just 11 sub-700 36-hole total scores in program history.

Avery Sawchuk (SR, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS) finished in a tie for ninth place in the 74-golfer field with a career-best 36-hole total of 156 (79-77), the second-best 36-hole score in school history, only behind a 154 (73-81) shot by Emma Kraft in a 2021 meet. It also marked the first time that an Augsburg women's golfer has scored in the 70s in both rounds of a 36-hole event.

Elizabeth Fagerlind (SR, Kasson, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS) finished in a tie for 36th place with a 174 (86-88) total.

Emma Larsen (SO, Milaca, Minn./Milaca HS) shot 181 (90-91) to finish in a tie for 51st place, and
Maren Aikens (SR, Rochester, Minn./John Marshall HS) shot 182 (88-94) to finish in a tie for 54th place.
