TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Elizabeth Fagerlind (SR, Kasson, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS) shot a career-best 155 to the lead the Augsburg University women's golf team at the St. Catherine University Fall Invitational, held on Saturday and Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Fagerlind shot rounds of 79 and 76 for her career-best 155 total, the second-best 36-hole score in Augsburg women's golf history, placing in a tie for 12th place in the 59-golfer field. She joins teammate
Avery Sawchuk (SR, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS), who shot a 156 (79-77) in the season-opening Saint Benedict Invitational, with the only 36-hole totals with both rounds shot in the 70s in school history.
• Sawchuk finished in a tie for 33rd place in the St. Catherine meet with a 163 (79-84) total.
• As a team, Augsburg finished in ninth place in the nine-school, 11-team tournament with a two-day total of 676 (338-338), the fourth-best 36-hole team total in school history. The Auggies scored their third-best 36-hole team total, 663, in winning last weekend's UW-Superior Twin Ports Collegiate tournament.

Maren Aikens (SR, Rochester, Minn./John Marshall HS) finished in 44th place with a 174 (87-87) score, and
Emma Larsen (SO, Milaca, Minn./Milaca HS) shot 184 (93-91) to tie for 52nd place.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Fagerlind and Sawchuk have now combined for 14 of the 25 single rounds shot in the 70s in school history, with Sawchuk holding eight and Fagerlind holding six.
