QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH GREG HOLKER
• "That was a gutty result today, as we did so well defending the onslaught on corner kicks and set pieces against a team that is much bigger and more powerful than we are. That is our most significant advancement from a year ago at this point, and that will give us a chance. The penalty they got was as interesting a decision as I've seen, and no fault to our group on that."
• "I thought
Joseph Swallen was tremendous today, and hats off to
Anson Karn for filling in for 90 minutes while
Zachariah Sherian was home ill. It was great for Mitchel to finally get on the scoreboard with a vital game-winner, and
Tomas Menna was magnificent up top today. It was so fun to watch him work and enjoy himself again."
• "Just a few more games to get us prepared for the ever-challenging MIAC portion of our schedule. We are in a decent spot at this time, but we have so much more work to do to get up to the level we need to pursue the postseason."
UP NEXT
• Augsburg hosts Crown in a nonconference game on Wednesday (9/11) at 7:30 p.m. at Edor Nelson Field.
