HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg won the eight-team tournament with a 663 (328-335) total, the third-best 36-hole team score in school history. Augsburg's opening round 328 on Saturday is the second-best single-round team score in program history, behind a 320 shot in a 2005 meet, with the 335 second round on Sunday tied for the ninth-best single round in school history.
• Sawchuk claimed individual medalist honors for the first time in her career, shooting a 158 total (75-83), the 4th-best 36-hole finish in school history. Her opening-round 75 tied her career-best round, and is tied for the third-best single round in school history. It's her second straight sub-160 36-hole finish, after setting a career-best with a 156 in last weekend's Saint Benedict Invitational.
Elizabeth Fagerlind (SR, Kasson, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS) finished in second place in the 46-golfer field, just a stroke behind Sawchuk with a career-best 159 (80-79) total, tied for the sixth-best 36-hole score in school history.
Maren Aikens (SR, Rochester, Minn./John Marshall HS) shot 171 (84-87) to finish in eighth place individually, and Emma Larsen (SO, Milaca, Minn./Milaca HS) shot a career-best-tying 36-hole score of 175 (89-86) to finish in 11th place.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Augsburg's team victory was its first in a multi-team event since winning the three-team Border Battle Triangular with Wisconsin-River Falls and Wisconsin-Stout on Sept. 23-24, 2015. It also marked Augsburg's first team win in any event since a dual-meet win over Saint Benedict on April 10, 2022.
• Sawchuk now holds four of the five best 36-hole scores in school history, and seven of the top 14 36-hole scores. She has also shot seven of the 22 single rounds shot in the 70s in school history.

UP NEXT
• Augsburg competes at the St. Catherine Invitational next Saturday and Sunday (9/14-15) at Eagle Valley Golf Club in Woodbury, Minn.
