MENOMONIE, Wis. --
Michael Ferrandino (SR, Lisle, Ill./Waterloo West (Iowa) HS) scored the opening goal of the game for Augsburg University, but the University of Wisconsin-Stout netted five straight goals to claim a 5-1 nonconference men's hockey victory on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Ferrandino scored his third goal of the season, a power-play goal at the 12:44 mark of the first period, as he connected on a slap shot from the point on assists from
Graham Harris (FY, Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka HS and
Landon Parker (SO, East Grand Forks, Minn./East Grand Forks HS).
• UW-Stout connected on four goals in a 7:12 span midway through the second period, including a shorthanded marker, to take command of the game. The Blue Devils capped the scoring with a power-play goal early in the third period.
• The Blue Devils outshot the Auggies by a 39-24 margin, including a 21-6 advantage in the second period. Parker had five shots on-goal for the Auggies, with
Parker Jasper (FY, Regina, Saskatchewan/Martin Collegiate HS) and Ferrandino recording three shots each.

Carsen Stokes (SO, Prior Lake, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) had 29 saves in 45 minutes in goal, with
Josh Koziol (JR, Elk River, Minn./Elk River HS) collecting five saves in relief.
