ARDEN HILLS, Minn. -- Leaders in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball standings, Bethel University pulled away in the second half to claim an 80-52 win over visiting Augsburg University on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Bethel led from start to finish in the contest, though the Auggies kept the game within reach in the first half, trailing just 38-30 at halftime. An 8-1 run to start the third quarter gave the Royals a 15-point advantage, a lead expanded to as many as 30 points down the stretch.
• Augsburg was led by
Lani Fonoti (FY, Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS), who scored in double figures in her sixth straight game, with 15 points, to go along with three assists and three rebounds.

Amira LaDuke (JR, Cass Lake, Minn./Cass Lake-Bena HS) scored in double figures for the 13th time this season, with a 10-point, seven -rebound performance.
