NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- A 12-0 run in the final 4:11 of the first quarter gave Carleton College a lead it would not relinquish, as the Knights scored a 73-49 victory over visiting Augsburg University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball game on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Knights never trailed and led by as many as 29 points down the stretch, shooting 49.0 percent (25-of-51) from the field in the game. Meanwhile, Augsburg shot just 29.3 percent (17-of-58) from the field. Carleton outrebounded Augsburg by a 36-34 margin in the game.

Amira LaDuke (JR, Cass Lake, Minn./Cass Lake-Bena HS) scored nine points with three rebounds to lead the Auggies in scoring.

Jada Stanford (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park HS) scored a season-high eight points with four rebounds, and
Emma Kanz (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Maple Grove HS) scored eight points.

Katie Manecke (SR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) and
Cassidee Thorvig (SR, Sandstone, Minn./East Central HS) scored five points each, with Manecke adding two rebounds, two assists and three steals, and Thorvig adding three reounds.
FOR THE FOES
• Carleton had four scorers in double figures, with Nayeli Williams, Selma Vangstein, Audrey Whitney and Liesl McCallum each scoring 13 points.
• Addy Huss had nine points with nine rebounds, and McCallum pulled down eight rebounds.
