ST. PAUL, Minn. – Mohammed Bati (SR, Dodola,Ethiopia/GAP School) became the first men's cross country runner ever to earn four Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference individual titles, winning his fourth conference crown with a 10.4-second victory at Saturday's meet at the Highland 9-Hole Golf Course.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Bati won the 163-runner, 8,000-meter men's race in 24:32.7 -- the fifth-fastest 8K time in conference championship history -- winning the title by 10.4 seconds over Kevin Turlington of St. Olaf, who finished in 24:43.1. Bati, ranked No. 2 nationally in the latest FloTrack.com Division III men's individual rankings, has now recorded four of the five fastest 8,000-meter times in the history of the conference meet.
• Bati's victory, the 18th of his collegiate career, marked his 18th sub-25-minute time in his 23 career 8,000-meter races.
• As a team, Augsburg finished in ninth place with 273 team points.
• Henry Nelson (SR, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) finished in 89th place with a season-best 28:33.1 time, and Tyler Anderson (FY, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) finished with a personal-best 30:57.4 time.
• Paul Yang (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Washington Tech Magnet HS) finished in a season-best 33:48.3, Aaron Sanchez Salazar (FY, Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie HS) finished in 33:59.5, and Tanner Rouillard-Horne (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Harding HS) finished in a personal-best 36:47.7.
 
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Three Augsburg women competed in the 167-runner women's race. Alwena Brix (SO, Plouay, France/Lycee Jean Mace, Rennes) led the way for the Auggies with a personal-best 25:52.8 time over the 6,000-meter distance, bettering her previous best time by 29 seconds.
• Davi Worman (JR, Edina, Minn./Groves Academy) also set a personal-best time by 30 seconds, finishing in 30:43.7.
• Emma Ryan (FY, St. Joseph, Minn./Rocori HS) ran a personal best 32:00.7 time, cutting her previous best by 2:15.
