Ella Olson (JR, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) and
Nora Stepan (SR, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) scored a goal and assist each, leading the No. 3/2-ranked Augsburg University women's hockey team to a 4-2 win over Concordia College-Moorhead in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener for both teams on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The teams exchanged goals until the midway point of the third period, when Augsburg's Olson scored from Stepan and
Ruby Eskin (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./Roseville HS) to give the Auggies a 3-2 lead.
Payton Behr (FY, Luverne, Minn./Luverne HS) scored her first collegiate goal, a power-play marker from Olson and
Abby Simons (SO, Kasson, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS), at the 16:15 mark of the third period to give the Auggies their final advantage.

Emma Abrahamson (JR, Carpentersville, Ill./Hampshire HS) opened the scoring with a first-period goal from
Emma Brandenburger (SO, Chicago, Ill./Mother McAuley HS), and Stepan scored her first goal of the season at the 3:53 mark of the third period, assisted by Eskin.

Kayla Simonson (SO, Delano, Minn./Delano HS) recorded 15 saves, as the Auggies outshot the Cobbers by a 38-17 margin.
