MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University men's hockey team closed its 2024-25 season with a 5-3 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory over Saint Mary's University at Ed Saugestad Rink on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Tied 3-3 entering the third period, the Auggies went ahead to stay with a pair of goals from
Nick Catalano (JR, Pewaukee, Wis./Arrowhead Union HS). He scored on the power play at the 7:50 mark, firing a shot from the deep slot off a nice feed from Connor Schneider (FY, Sun Prairie, Wis./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS).
Landon Parker (SO, East Grand Forks, Minn./East Grand Forks HS) had the second assist.
• Catalano's fifth goal of the season sealed the win with five seconds left, an empty-net goal assisted by Schneider and goalie Carson Stokes (FY, Prior Lake, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS).
• Augsburg scored twice in a 2:27 span to open the game in the first period.
Graham Harris (FY, Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka HS) scored on a loose puck in the slot on the power play at the 8:48 mark, assisted by
Peyton Hanson (JR, Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS) and
Dylan Schneider (SR, Rochester, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS).
Zachary Reim (FY, Shoreview, Minn./Gentry Academy) scored on a rebound of a
Logan Gravink (FY, Andover, Minn./Andover HS) shot at the 11:15 mark, with
Conner Schneider getting the second assist. Gravink recorded his first collegiate point with the assist.
• Saint Mary's tied the game with a pair of goals, but Augsburg took the lead back at the 3:02 mark of the second period, as Parker scored his team-leading 10th goal of the year, tipping home a shot by Hanson in the slot on a 3-on-2 drive to the net.
Daniel Chladek (SR, Anaheim, Calif./Canyon HS) had the second assist.
• Augsburg was outshot by a 41-35 margin by Saint Mary's in the game, but Stokes had 38 saves to pick up the victory in goal.

• The game marked the end of the collegiate careers for six Auggie seniors -- Chladek,
Dylan Schneider,
Michael Ferrandino (SR, Lisle, Ill./Waterloo West (Iowa) HS),
Luke Mountain (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS),
Jake Osiecki (SR, Verona, Wis./Verona HS) and
