NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- Outrebounded by a 56-32 margin in the game, the Augsburg University women's basketball team fell 58-45 to host St. Olaf College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• St. Olaf dominated in the low post, claiming 36 points in the paint, compared to 10 for Augsburg. The Oles also converted 15 second-chance points on 15 offensive rebounds, compared to four points on 10 offensive rebounds for the Auggies.
• The game was still a close one until the second half, when the Oles built the lead to double digits, outscoring the Auggies 30-21 in the second half to claim the victory.

Maecee Alexander (SO, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) led the Auggies in scoring with nine points, while
Katie Manecke (SR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) scored eight points with three rebounds and three assists.

Amira LaDuke (JR, Cass Lake, Minn./Cass Lake-Bena HS) scored seven points, and
Jada Stanford (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park HS) scored six points with thre rebounds.
FOR THE FOES
• Sophia Kormann scored 17 points with 15 rebounds and three assists to lead St. Olaf, while Chloee Smith scored 13 points with 17 rebounds, three assists and four steals.
• Paige Yagodinski scored 12 points.
