MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University softball team suffered a doubleheader sweep by the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in nonconference action on Thursday, falling 14-8 and 10-1.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• The first game was a back-and-forth affair, with 27 hits combined between the two teams -- 11 hits for Augsburg, 16 hits for UW-River Falls.
• Morgann Paaske (SR, Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central HS) hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning for the Auggies, and Torrie Rehder (SR, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS) hit a two-run homer in the second inning.
• Lola Pilon (SO, Farmington, Minn./Mounds View Academy HS) hit a run-scoring double in the second inning. Grace Syson (SR, Oshkosh, Wis./Lourdes Academy HS) hit an RBI single in the fifth inning.
• Rehder and Paaske each went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. Syson and Olivia Funk (SR, Lewiston, Minn./Lewiston-Altura HS) had two hits each.
• Paaske pitched a complete game, striking out three. She threw 166 pitches, 97 strikes, in the game.

GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg managed just one run in the second inning, as Zoie Johnson (SR, Carlton, Minn./Esko HS) hit a solo home run to left-center field. Johnson had two of Augsburg's three hits in the second game.
• Zoe Adkins (JR, Homer, Alaska/Homer HS) struck out three in a complete-game effort, throwing 118 pitches, with 68 strikes.

FOR THE FOES
• Kelly Aultman and Abby Pitts hit home runs for first game for UW-River Falls, while Ella Woida hit two triples in the second game.
• Aultman went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI in the first game, and went 4-for-4 with a double and two RBI in the second game.
